I totally forgot to include the final thoughts and recommendations regarding this tutorial
- Using this method of texturing, you have a very high degree of control over the final appearance of the model. Whenever you feel that the end result isn't good enough for you, you can easily change any aspect of the material's characteristics such as how much the paint has flaked off, the amount of rust on the metal, the discoloration of the paint, the graffiti printed on the surface of the paint, the amount of grime, and much much more.
- And the really neat thing about this is that there aren't any special renderers or additional plugins used in any of the images presented in the tutorials. They were rendered using the Default Scanline Renderer and took only 3 seconds to render. An exception is the final result which used a Skylight that extended rendering time to 1 min and 34 secs.
Your wonderful tutorial has been included in my October Round up for the Resources gallery [link]

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
