I haven't used any plugins or other software to unwrap. Just the 3ds Max UVW unwrap tools. It wasn't difficult as I knew what I was doing. It was just time consuming because sometimes I needed to click every single polygon on the low-poly mesh.
Oh wow. Well after I'm done with one piece of the marine, I usually play 1 game of StarCraft and then I get back to work again, not to mention occasional rides on the couch for some TV. So I'm not sure how many hours a day I actually work. But I think it's about 5 hours.
