This is a 180-degree panorama I took of my backyard. The lighting is a bit uneven because I don't have a neutral density filter and I couldn't change the exposure without ruining the continuity of the panorama.
Wow, I really like your yard. I wish mine was as green as that. Especially considering it's bleak white at the moment due to all the snow we've been getting lately.
Where I am we're in the middle of a drought and I can't remember when I last saw so much green grass! Very eye appealing. You have a very nice backyard.
Actually much of the heat has been and gone this year. We are now part way into autumn. Australia is a funny place at the moment - the North east has had bucketing rain and severe floods. Even a cyclone off the coast as we speak. But the lower south east half or so (where I am) has officially been in drought since 1997. So dar this year I think we've had less than 1mm of rain. Everything is exceedingly dry and brown - it would help to explain why we had or worst ever bushfires about 4 weeks ago. And I have four pet Guinea Pigs so I'm always on the lookout for grass in my suburb. I can say with confidence 'green grass' like in your image is pretty much extinct. Our water catchments are perilously low, about 30% of capacity (the lowest ever recorded for this time of year. We are on Stage 4 water restrictions for a couple of years now. As you can see it is a very big problem. I believe the Government is building a De-Salination plant so we can convert sea water into fresh water. I would very, very much like to come visit your place with my pets! They would be in Heaven.
